From April 2 till April 12, 2022, the Vice-President of Howest University (Belgium), Frederick D’Hulster, paid a working visit to the Kazakh Automobile and Road Institute (KazADI) . The purpose of the visit was to summarize the results of the educational project between partner universities and to identify the goals of the upcoming project under the international Erasmus+ program.
During his stay in Kazakhstan, Dr. D’Hulster conducted a number of training seminars for KazADI employees, as well as the guest lectures were given for students. He also visited KazADI commercial partner companies in Almaty, where Howest University students successfully complete internships during years.
The participation of the Vice-President of Howest University in the Scientific and Practical International Online Conference “Transformation and the Position of Higher Education in the 21st Century”, which took place on April 6, 2022, was also important. The conference was attended by Heads of universities, scientific and pedagogical staff from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Latvia, Belgium and Poland. More than 50 scientists took part in the meeting, where issues of improving the educational process in universities of different countries, opportunities for international cooperation and many other aspects were discussed.
International cooperation is a vital component of the activities of higher education institutions. It demonstrates the work of the Institute and sets the standards of world leaders in the study of advanced trends and new knowledge, without which it is impossible to imagine modern education.
