ndividuals applying to master's programs submit the following documents to KazADI and/or through the information system of the National Testing Center (NTC):
1. application form addressed to the Rector
2. document of higher education (original, when submitting documents to the admissions committee)
3. copy of an identity document
4. six 3x4 cm photos
5. medical certificate form 075-u, approved by Order No. ҚР ДСМ-175/2020 of the Acting Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 30, 2020 "On approval of forms of medical records in healthcare"
6. copy of the test certificate for the programs (if available)
- English: IELTS (International English Language Testing System), passing score – not less than 6.0
- English: IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System Academic), passing score – not less than 6.0
- TOEFL IBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-based test), passing score – not less than 60
- TOEFL PBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Paper-based test), passing score – not less than 498
- German: Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH, Level C1), TestDaF-Prüfung (Level C1)
- French: TFI (Test de Français International™) – not lower than B1 in reading and listening sections, DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) – Level B2, DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) – Level C1, TCF (Test de connaissance du français) – not less than 50 points
Along with copies of the documents specified in this clause, their originals must be submitted for verification carried out in the presence of the applicant. After verification, the original documents are returned.
If an incomplete set of documents specified in this clause is submitted, the admissions committee will not accept the documents from the applicant.
Individuals applying to master's programs take the CT, which includes a foreign language test (choose from English, German, French), a test in the profile of the program group, and a test to determine readiness for study, offered in either Kazakh or Russian.
The CT is conducted by the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan at CT testing locations designated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as MSHE RK).
The CT results are assessed on a 150-point grading scale
Retaking of entrance exams and the CT in the year of their taking is not permitted.
The CT is conducted in accordance with the Comprehensive Testing Rules approved by Order No. 230 of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 5, 2020.
To participate in the CT, the applicant submits an application through the information system of the Republican State Enterprise "National Testing Center" of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan: enters app.testcenter.kz
registers in the application submission system via email
undergoes authorization in the application system
navigates to the "application" page
the applicant confirms that they have read and agree to the CT rules
selects the required test form
fills out the application form
pays for participation in the test
After successfully completing all stages, the "Your application has been accepted!" message appears, along with the application form.
Candidates can choose where they will take the test.
If applicants need to change their test application (such as the test location, program group, or test language) before the application deadline, they should go to the "My History" page, open their application, and click "Edit Application."
Individuals applying to master's programs in the educational program groups of "Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction" as well as in the "Business and Management" fields are exempt from the CT for master's programs with Kazakh or Russian as the language of instruction if they hold an international certificate for the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) with scores meeting the requirements set out in Appendix 2 of these Rules.
Applicants applying to master's programs in the "Business and Management" fields are exempt from the CT for master's programs with Kazakh or Russian as the language of instruction if they hold an international certificate for the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) with scores meeting the requirements set out in Appendix 3 of these Rules.
The authenticity and validity period of the submitted certificates are verified by the Admissions Committee of KazADI. Applicants to master's programs indicate one program group and up to three higher and post-secondary education institutions in their application.
The CT results are announced on the day they are administered.

For taking part in the competition for a postgraduate educational grant, applicants submit their documents to the admissions committee of the higher education institution and indicate in their application the program group and three higher education institutions.
In the competition for a Master's degree educational grant, the scores from the CT results in the program group profile, the test for readiness to study, and the foreign language test are considered.
Required documents for the Master's degree educational grant competition
For taking part in the postgraduate educational grant competition, the applicant submits the following to the higher education institution's admissions committee:
1) application form on the official form
2) document of higher education (original if submitted to the admissions committee of the higher education institution)
3) CT certificate (if submitted to the admissions committee of the higher education institution)
4) copy of a valid ID
Applicants with the highest scores on the CT and/or entrance exam and/or creative exams are admitted to study under the educational grant on a competitive basis.
Based on the 150-point CT grading scale for research and teaching master's programs with Kazakh or Russian as the language of instruction: a minimum of 75 points total, including at least 25 points in a foreign language, at least 7 points in each of the two core subjects within the program group profile, and at least 7 points in the readiness assessment test.
Applicants who achieve the minimum passing scores are admitted to fee-paying programs.
1) For research and teaching master's programs: a minimum of 75 points, including at least 25 points in a foreign language, at least 7 points in the single-answer multiple-choice section within the program group profile, at least 7 points in the multiple-answer section, and at least 7 points in the readiness assessment test.
Based on the decision of the republican commission, the authorized body for education issues an order, and applicants receive certificates for the postgraduate educational grant. The lists of grant recipients are published in the media and on websites. Grant certificates, along with the documents submitted by applicants, are issued by the admissions committees before August 27.
